Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam to lock horns at the box-office

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and Prabhas‘ Radhe Shyam are going to have a clash at the box-office. Both the movies are releasing on the same date i.e July 30, 2021. A few days back the makers of Prabhas starrer shared a glimpse of the movie along with the release date. Today, Alia Bhatt shared a new poster of Gangubai Kathiadwadi featuring herself and also announced the release date. The teaser is releasing today on SLB’s birthday. So, fans of Alia are eagerly waiting for the teaser to release soon.

Radhe Shyam is a pan-India film that will be releasing in multiple languages- It also has Pooja Hegde opposite Prabhas. As the name suggests, the movie is a romantic saga and Prabhas is all geared up to charm his fans with his lover boy character. We all know Prabhas has a huge fan base not only in the South but all across the country. In that case, Gangubai Kathiawadi is going to face strong competition with Radhe Shyam. The latter has been creating a lot of buzz and fans of the Baahubali star are waiting with bated breath for the movie to release in July.

 

Due to the Coronavirus lockdown, the release dates of many movies were postponed. Gangubai Kathiawadi was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2020, but got delayed due to the pandemic. The film is adapted from one of the chapters of the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by Hussain Zaidi.

 

Radhe Shyam is written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. It is presented by Krishnam Raju under Gopi Krishna Movies and jointly produced by UV Creations and T-Series. Apart from Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, the movie also stars Bhagyashree, Kunal Roy Kapur, Sachin Khedekar, Sathyan, Priyadarshi, Murli Sharma, Sasha Chettri, Riddhi Kumar among others.
