 Erigaisi recently exacted retribution in the ongoing online chess competition after losing to Carlsen in the Julius Baer Generation Cup final in September. Erigaisi has defeated Carlsen for the first time in this match. Erigaisi had previously fallen to Carlsen in the September Julius Baer Generation Cup final. In the seventh round of the Aimchess Rapid online chess tournament's preliminary round, the Indian grandmaster defeated the world champion. The Indian grandmaster has managed to take fourth place in the competition after 8 rounds.
