Do Deepika & SRK Have A Secret Pact?

Deepika & SRK seem to have a secret pact going on.

Shahrukh Khan was the unchallenged emperor of Bollywood in the 2000’s. Very rarely did his movies flop that decade. It was during this phase that he launched then supermodel Deepika Padukone’s Bollywood career in his blockbuster hit production – Om Shanti Om. The movies’ blockbuster success made Deepika a household name. They have since starred in several successful movies together. It must be noted that none of the movies featuring this couple have flopped to date. They will be seen together again in YRF’s Pathan.

But what caught our attention is that in almost the 12+ years that Deepika has been part of the industry, she has never starred opposite Aamir Khan or Salman Khan – SRK’s biggest competitors. In the past 12 years, Bollywood’s ranking too has changed. Salman Khan has dethroned Shahrukh Khan. Aamir & Shahrukh continue to remain superstars. Salman Khan has expressed his desire to work with Deepika several times. Aamir too was supposed to work with Deepika in Thugs of Hindustan, Mahabharat but nothing materialized.

This makes us wonder whether Deepika-SRK have a secret pact? Was it SRK’s ploy to gain an edge over his competitors? Or it is Deepika’s way of thanking the superstar for giving her a break? How come Deepika had no issues working with Akshay Kumar, who too is a claimant to the Bollywood throne?
