What 15+ Actors From Our Beloved Movies of the Past Look Like and Do Now

Movies like Spider-Man, The Hot Chick, or The Boat That Rocked seem to us to have been released not very long ago. This is incorrect, though, because, in 2021, the first 2 movies will actually turn 19, while The Boat That Rocked will turn 12. This indicates that there have also been a number of improvements in the actors who played roles in these cult flicks.

1. Thomas Wilson Brown — Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

At the age of 11, Thomas Wilson Brown began his career when he starred in the film Silverado (1985). After acting in Problem Boy, however, he got truly popular (1990). Today, he continues his acting career (though not that actively). Some of the flicks you can see him in are Flophouse (2002), The Mooring (2012), Last Three Days (2020).

2. Amy O’Neill — Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

Thanks to her involvement in Problem Child, Amy O’Neill became popular too. She had starred in sitcoms and series prior to that. O’Neill took a break from acting in 1994 and began to work for a circus. She starred in a short film called The Japanese Sandman in 2008, however, and she appeared in one of the episodes of the Baskets series in 2016.

3. Tom Sturridge — The Boat That Rocked

In The Boat That Swayed, Tom Sturridge played one of the main roles in (2009). By the way, in the actor’s filmography, this flick has the highest public score. In films like Far From the Madding Crowd (2015), Mary Shelley (2017), and Velvet Buzzsaw, Later Sturridge appeared (2019).

4. Nick Frost — The Boat That Rocked

Nick starred in films including Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz before his star role in The Boat That Rocked (2007). The actor continues to play in flicks today and can be seen in films such as The Festival (2018), Rulez Slaughterhouse (2018), and Battle with My Family (2019).

Michael Oliver — Problem Child

Michael Oliver, the actor who played the lead role, was brought to great fame by the cult movie of the 1990s, Problem Child. Afterward, he became one of the most famous child actors. At the age of 14, though, he ditched his acting career. The last film he took part in was Dillinger and Capone (1995).

6. Ivyann Schwan — Problem Child 2

In the movie Parenthood (1989) and in the series of the same name (1990-1991), Ivyann Schwan, who played Trixie, Junior’s friend, had only 2 more roles. Afterward, she performed in many theater performances, and, having launched her solo album called Daisies, she tried to model and sing. Ivy and became a mother in the year 2012.

7. Krystle and Tiffany Mataras — Problem Child

Junior’s imaginative neighbors who sold all the stuff around them in Problem Child were played by the Mataras twins. The last movie appearance of the sisters dates back to 2012; they starred in the flick called 100,000 Zombie Heads.

8. Mary Elizabeth Winstead — Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

For Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ramona’s appearance in Edgar Wright’s comic adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. the World became one of the most memorable ones. She continues to work in films and series today. For her roles in films including Bobby (2006), Shattered (2012), and 10 Cloverfield Lane, the actress has received many awards (2016).

9. Georgie Henley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley — The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Georgie Henley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, and William Moseley have become perhaps the most famous children in Hollywood following the release of the first part of The Chronicles of Narnia.

For Georgie Henley, the youngest of the actors, The Chronicles of Narnia was their debut. She later took part in theatre performances and became the director in 2015 of a short film named Tide.

Also, Anna Popplewell has started her acting career successfully. She starred from 2013 to 2016 in the main cast of a series called Reign.

10. Maia Brewton — Adventures in Babysitting

Brewton is a famous 80’s and 90’s actress. Her job in Babysitting in Adventures (1987) was not her first one. She acted in Back to the Future before this film (1985). The ultimate role of the actress was in the series Odd Mom Out (2015). Brewton is working as a lawyer today.
