Alia Bhatt pulls off a Gangubai Kathiawadi signature pose at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday bash; watch video

Alia Bhatt stunned in her first look as Gangubai Kathiawadi. If that wasn’t enough, the first teaser for the movie was released on February 24 which left everyone surprised too. Alia Bhatt has shown her prowess as an actor yet again by embodying the role of Gangubai. The actress shines on in a strong, powerful role as she traces the journey of Gangu. If you want any other proof of the actress being Gangu, she pulled off her signature pose on Wednesday night, at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday bash.

 

Donning a white ensemble, like Gangu, Alia did a Namaste with her hands held up reminding us of Gangu instantly. The actress is overjoyed with the response to the teaser so far. From Shah Rukh KhanPriyanka Chopra to Varun DhawanShahid Kapoor and others, everyone has been praising Alia for her transformation to Gangu. Alia Bhatt starter Gangubai Kathiawadi is scheduled for a release in cinemas on July 30, 2021.

 

Sharing the teaser, Alia wrote, “Gangubai Kathiawadi Teaser Happy Birthday Sir..I can think of no better way to celebrate you and your birthday Presenting a part of my heart & soul. Meet .. Gangu!❤️.” Shahid commented on the teaser, “Gundi to Hamesha se thi ab don ban gai 👏 loving it.” While Varun wrote, “Everyone is a gangsta till the real gangsta walks in 🙌.”

Gangubai Kathiawadi has been produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios). The film will mark the 10th directorial of cinema maestro. Are you excited?

For the movie, Alia Bhatt did quite a few workshops and has given her heart and soul to it. The actress is definitely overwhelmed with the response she has been getting so far.
