Sanya Malhotra starrer Pagglait to have a Netflix release on THIS date; teaser OUT

Sanya Malhotra starrer Pagglait’s teaser is OUT along with its release date. After a stellar performance in Ludo, Sanya Malhotra is back with the dramedy Pagglait which traces an emotional journey of a character within a typical Indian middle-class family navigating a crisis. The teaser of Pagglait shows Sanya play the role of the recently widowed Sandhya who is struggling to mourn the death of her husband. During the journey, Sandhya sets onto a path of self-discovery, attempting to find her identity and purpose in life – as she lives with her joint family who is full of quirks.

Sanya Malhotra shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote, “Emotions in this household are either running high or not at all. Pagglait, premieres 26th March, only on Netflix. #PagglaitOnNetflix.” Pagglait has been directed and written by Umesh Bist, the film boasts an ensemble cast consisting of veteran actors – Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang.

About the movie, Sanya said in a statement, “So thrilled to announce this film which is very close to my heart on my special day. I essay the role of Sandhya, a character very different from what I have previously portrayed on-screen. My Pagglait journey was Pagglait indeed- and I can’t wait for the world to witness this unique story very soon.”

 

Before Pagglait, Sanya Malhotra had two more OTT releases, Shakuntala Devi, Ludo among others. Both the movies were well appreciated and her performance, in particular, was much loved. She is currently shooting for Love Hostel along with Vikrant Massey.
