Mukesh Ambani & 6 other Indian billionaires who’ve either bought or booked a Tesla car

Tesla, the American electric vehicle and clean energy firm, has launched in India, and car enthusiasts are ecstatic to own one and add it to their list. Although Tesla is expected to make its debut with the Model 3 sedan, some Indian business leaders have already reserved their electric vehicles for 2016.

Meet Indian billionaires such as Mukesh Ambani and Vijay Shekhar Sharma, as well as others, who own or have reserved a Tesla car:

1. Prashant Ruia

Prashant Ruia, the CEO of the Essar conglomerate, became India’s first Tesla owner. The Tesla Model X was imported into the country in 2017 and registered at Mumbai’s Tardeo Regional Transport Office (RTO). The world’s fastest electric SUV is the luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV). “It is excluded from RTO taxes and cess because it is an electric vehicle,” an RTO source told Hindustan Times. Imported vehicles costing more than Rs 1 crore are typically subject to a tax of Rs 20 lakh. The car has a power output of 750 Bhp and a torque output of 967 Nm. The car will accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.8 seconds.

2. Vijay Shekhar Sharma

When Elon Musk opened pre-booking for the Tesla Model 3 in 2016, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma swiped right and booked himself a car. Sharma charged $1,000 for the electric car’s reservation. “Waiting to move (to) a Tesla,” he tweeted in August 2017.

3. Mukesh Ambani

Ambani’s garage is full of uber-expensive and high-end luxury cars, with a floor dedicated to parking over 168 vehicles. Mukesh Ambani increased his range of automobiles in 2021. The Ambanis own a fleet of supercars that every revhead dreams about, from customised Rolls Royce Cullinans to Phantom EWBs, Bentley Bentaygas, and more. Mukesh Ambani has also acquired a Tesla Model S. Reliance Industries Ltd is the name on the model’s registration. The car has a maximum power output of 423 PS and a huge torque output of 660 Nm. The car will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

4. Mahesh Murthy, Pinstorm CEO

When Tesla first launched in the United States, businessman Mahesh Murthy pre-ordered two vehicles. When he discovered the company was taking orders from India in 2016, he purchased both cars for $1,000 each. “It was late at night, and I put in my card number and received a confirmation almost in my sleep.” I didn’t know what I’d done until later. I’d never paid $1,000 for a vehicle I hadn’t seen before, with no way of knowing whether or when it would arrive in India. But it was an emotional, not a logical, decision. At the time, I wondered aloud, “How much would it cost?” Rs 18 or 20 lakh – maybe Rs 35 lakh including duty? According to The Times of India, Murthy said about booking Tesla vehicles, “Little did I know that it will come to Rs 65 lakh today.”

“But that’s perfect. I’ve reached the point where I’m able to stop driving cars that use fossil fuels. Despite the fact that I own three motorcycles and four cars, I still depend on Uber or an autorickshaw to get around. The Tesla, in my opinion, is a sweet, justifiable indulgence. It’s appealing and seductive, and it also benefits the atmosphere “Added he.

5. Vishal Gondal

Vishal Gondal, the founder-CEO of wearables company GOQii, was another Tesla fan who booked it without even thinking about it. Gondal jumped at the opportunity when he saw on Twitter that the company had begun accepting bookings from India. The entrepreneur has been waiting for his car to arrive in India for nearly five years. “For the first time, they were accepting reservations from India.” I didn’t blink because I’m a big fan of Elon Musk and Tesla vehicles. I charged $1,000 and reserved a car within seconds of seeing the message. According to The Times of India, “it’s been the longest time since I’ve had anything so amazing.” “Early adopters are often required to pay a higher price. But the Tesla is more than a car to me; it’s a revolution. It is the time of the future. When the business was going through a rough patch in 2016, I decided to do everything I could to help Musk and his vision, so I booked a car “Added he.

6. Sujayath Ali

Sujayath Ali, the CEO of the fashion platform Voonik, was one of the first people to pre-book a Tesla. He posted the news on Twitter after booking the car, writing, “Have pre-booked Tesla 3.” Now I have to work hard for the next two years to save up enough money to buy it.”

7. Ritesh Deshmukh

Riteish Deshmukh, a Bollywood star, gave his wife Genelia D’Souza a Tesla Model X SUV as a birthday present. Deshmukh owns a fiery red car with two electric motors that generate 259 horsepower in the front and 503 horsepower in the rear. The Model X accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

This latest Pixel Watch update from Google is a bit of a jumble

Joe Maring / Digital Trends The Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 now have the Wear OS 5 upgrade available from Google. Nevertheless, the update has caused problems for a few customers. Fortunately, it might be a simple repair. Reddit and Google's support forums claim that the problem appears as soon as Wear OS 5 is set up on the watch. Some users then have a blank screen with a disconnected Bluetooth icon at the bottom. The Verge and Android Police advise users to do a quick boot reset in order to fix the problem. You should scroll down and select Restart after holding down the watch's crown for three seconds, according to Google. You can try a hard reset if the preceding approach isn't successful in solving the problem with your watch. Press and hold the side button and the watch crown at the same time for approximately 20 seconds to accomplish this. Following this action, the Google logo ought to show up on the screen. Do you still experience issues? Resetting from FastBo...

Unwatchable: The 20 Most Unsettling and Terrifying Films Ever Produced

Mainstream  moviegoers  found  the  Saw  franchise  so  upsetting  that  they  referred  to  it  as  "torture  porn."   Horror movies are inherently frightening and upsetting. The subversive narrative framework that reflects the worst facets of human nature is the foundation of the horror genre. Alternatively, it presents the viewer with a terrifying new vehicle through which to view the world. Maybe the number of horror films produced in a society may be used to determine its level of freedom.
